Prompt Section B - Question 6. A trader buys 80 bags of maize meal at ZWL 18.50 each. Transport costs ZWL 120. Ten bags are damaged and sold at a 20% loss; the rest are sold at a 25% profit. Calculate the overall profit or loss and express it as a percentage of total cost.

Prompt Section B - Question 7. A rectangular garden is 8 m longer than it is wide and has area 240 m^2. Find its dimensions. A path 1.5 m wide is then built all around the outside. Find the area of the path.

Prompt Section B - Question 8. Points A(-2,1), B(6,5) and C(4,-3) form a triangle. Find the midpoint of AB, the gradient of AB, the equation of the line through C perpendicular to AB, and the coordinates where that line meets the y-axis.

Prompt Section B - Question 9. From point P, the angle of elevation to the top of a tower is 34 degrees. After walking 25 m directly towards the tower to point Q, the angle is 52 degrees. Find the distance from Q to the tower and the tower height.

Prompt Section B - Question 12. A solid consists of a cylinder of radius 4 cm and height 10 cm topped by a hemisphere of the same radius. Find its total volume and its external surface area, using pi=3.142.
